With perfectly groomed trails (for up to 121 km classic and 119 km skating), cross-country skiers will find perfect conditions for their favorite winter sports.
A paradise for demanding athletes, but also for beginners who want to try cross-country skiing in Tyrol. An extra plus point: 2 cross-country ski trails are guaranteed to have snow thanks to snow farming and artificial snowmaking. The entrance to the network of trails you will find right at the Sonnenhof in Walchsee.
The use of all cross-country trails in the entire Kaiserwinkl and in the neighboring region Reit im Winkl is free for our guests!

Perfect ski areas for beginners and sporty skiers are a matter of course, families know their children are in good hands in the ski kindergarten or in the children's adventure world.
Numerous events, ski schools and ski rentals round off the unforgettable vacation in our rooms with breakfast buffet or holiday apartments!
The free ski bus starts right in front of the Sonnenhof and takes you to the local family ski areas Zahmer Kaiser (2.5 km) or to
Hochkössen (9 km).
And for even more variety:
Day trips to some of the major ski destinations in Tyrol are possible within an hour's drive, such as Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser, Söll, Ellmau, Kitzbühel, Fieberbrunn or Waidring.
